Mayor Daniel J. Stermer Tests Positive for COVID-19
City of Weston Mayor Daniel J. Stermer has been feeling under the weather since March 31 and began self-quarantine at that time. He was tested for COVID-19 at the Cleveland Clinic drive thru on April 2. Three days later he was notified that he tested positive. He was advised to remain in quarantine until at least April 14. Ever the optimist and a fighter, he continues to work from home.

Weston Shines in White
In Support of Our Front Line Heroes
Shine in White Weston is a citywide effort to show support to those working on the front lines, from medical professionals to inspectors and clerks. We envision the city awash in white lights in windows and on balconies and ribbons tied on trees. We also encourage everyone to wear white on Wednesdays. Shine in White starts tomorrow (Wednesday, April 8, 2020) and concludes when the Safer at Home order is lifted. Residents are also urged to post their Shine in White photos and videos on social media by using the hashtag #ShineInWhite #Weston and include inspiring messages to front line professionals.

Use of Cloth Face Masks Encouraged in Weston
The City of Weston encourages everyone to use a cloth facial covering when outside of the home, consistent with the CDC's new guidelines (see Weston Emergency Order 2020-08). When worn properly, a cloth face mask will help people who may have the virus (and do not know it) from transmitting it to others, especially when worn during times that social distancing can be difficult or compromised, like grocery shopping. Cloth masks can be made easily at home by using pieces of fabric, bandanas, shirts, etc.
Weston's Annual Royal Egg Hunt Canceled
The Royal Egg Hunt that was to take place on Saturday, April 11 has been canceled due to the coronavirus public health threat. Keep up to date on event and meeting notices and cancellations by clicking below.

Vacation rentals are prohibited from making new reservations or booking and may not accept new guests for check-in for the duration of the order.
