In under ten minutes, you will make an impact on the next ten years by completing the census questionnaire for your household. So, make sure you count -- add the census to your to-do list for today.

Weston Mayor Tests Negative Post COVID-19 Diagnosis
Mayor Stermer is out of quarantine after being diagnosed with COVID-19 earlier this month. He urges the community to continue protective measures to stop the spread and keep yourselves and your family members safe.

Plasma Donors are Needed
Are you a COVID-19 survivor? Plasma donors are needed! Donors must meet all the required screening criteria for blood donation and the
additional FDA criteria, as follows:
Prior diagnosis of COVID-19 documented by an FDA approved laboratory test
Complete resolution of symptoms at least 14 days prior to donation and a documented negative COVID-19 FDA approved test OR
Complete resolution of symptoms at least 28 days prior to donation
Glass of water for Tap Water Chlorine Treatment
Temporary Change in Water Treatment
Starting today through May 15, the City of Sunrise Utility Department will temporarily switch the way our drinking water is treated. The change from monochloramine to free chlorine disinfection is an annual temporary change which provides additional protection against bacteria. New Guidelines for Watering Landscape
Due to drier than average conditions, South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) recently issued more strict guidelines for property owners to follow when it comes to landscape irrigation. Mask Donations Total 1,400 with a Goal of 10,000
A huge THANK YOU to the Chinese American Communities of South Florida for their face mask donation effort, spearheaded by Jing Xue who purchased and then donated 1,350 face masks last week to our campaign effort. All donations add up - big or small! We have had support from several families that have dropped off a total of 50 homemade fabric face masks, but we need more to make it to our goal. Learn how you can help us collect 10,000 masks for the Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Weston.

BSO Deputy Sends Heartfelt Message to Students
Weston School Resource Deputy Rachel Radulic from Gator Run Elementary helped start a pilot program during the pandemic for School Resource Officers throughout Broward County to lift up spirits of students while schools remain closed. Her effort was featured on NBC's Today Show.

The popular Kidokinetics program that is offered at the Community Center offers virtual classes. Coaches have been working hard to continue bringing physical fitness and smiles to your kiddos...even if it's through a computer screen!
