"Welcome" Chief Sam Cavalieri
BSO Captain Simoni ‘Sam’ Cavalieri is no stranger to Weston. He previously worked shoulder-to-shoulder alongside Chief Butler prior to his retirement, in the capacity of Executive Officer. Chief Cavalieri is a veteran law enforcement officer with many years of supervisory experience who looks forward to leading BSO Weston and continuing positive relations with the residential and business community.

Doing Business in Weston?
Time to Renew Your Local Business Tax Receipt
All businesses, including home-based businesses, are required to obtain a Local Business Tax Receipt before engaging in business in the City of Weston.
 
All Local Business Tax Receipts expire in the State of Florida on September 30. Existing businesses in Weston should have already received a renewal email or an invoice by mail from the City. Online renewal is available 24/7 without having to pay any additional fee.

Census 2020
Door-to-door canvassers hope to increase Broward's response rate to Census 2020. If you have not yet responded, a census taker will visit your household to help you respond. It’s easy, safe and important. Of course the best way to avoid an in-person visit is to respond yourself either online at my2020census.gov or by calling 1-844-330-2020. #WestonCounts

South Floridians of all ages are invited to share their social justice experiences by submitting original work in their choice of media to the Stand Up, Speak Out Social Justice in South Florida Project presented by Broward County Library. YMCA Fitness Challenge Starts September 1
Are you ready to take the YMCA fitness challenge?There is no doubt that quarantine has impacted our physical fitness. The YMCA Fitness Challenge is here to help you get back in the game with a healthy new you. Starting September 1, engage in fitness workouts or sports activities at least 45 minutes a day, for 30 days and track it on the YMCA SFL Mobile App. The first place winner gets a Y Cause Box, and all qualifying participants who join by August 28 and complete the challenge, will receive a YMCA of South Florida shirt.
