The Museum of the City of New York is excited to announce that we will reopen to the public on Thursday, August 27 as part of the state's reopening plan.
We look forward to welcoming you back and we have created new guidelines for staff and visitors to follow to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Before you visit, please familiarize yourself with the Museum's courtesy code and our new safety protocols and other reopening FAQs. The Museum will be open Thursday–Monday, 10am–6pm. Museum admission is free through Monday, September 14. Thursdays from 10–11am will be a designated hour for seniors and other high-risk individuals. We strongly encourage you to reserve timed tickets. Masks are required for staff and all visitors over the age of two. Indoor galleries will reopen, including New York at Its Core, Activist New York, City/Game: Basketball in New York, and more. The Future City Lab will be closed. All programs, lectures, and events will remain virtual for the immediate future.
