The City of Weston urges residents and business owners to follow the guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control, the Florida Department of Health and all local authorities when it comes to the Coronavirus public health threat.
Recommendations
On March 16, 2020, the City of Weston issued a Local State of Emergency in response to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) public health threat. This allows the City to take actions to minimize the spread of the virus in our community. This is a developing situation. Updates will be posted on the City’s website at WestonFL.org/Coronavirus and eNotifications will be sent out on a regular basis.

Residents should monitor information via local media sources, and should heed the guidelines issued by the CDC, including:
Stay home when at all possible, especially if you are sick. The virus spreads person-to-person through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.
Maintain a distance between others of at least 6 feet.
Cover your cough and sneeze with a tissue or use the inside of your elbow. Discard tissues immediately and wash your hands.
Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap is not available, use hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily.

Patients with COVID-19 have mild to severe respiratory illness. Symptoms can include fever, cough and shortness of breath. www.cdc.gov/covid-19-symptoms
