West Avenue Phase 2 Neighborhood Improvement Project Project Update - July 22, 2020

A Letter to Commission (LTC) was distributed providing an update on the West Avenue project. The letter includes information on an additional review of potential alternative locations of the pump station and above-ground components following input from the community. The project is expected to be discussed at a yet to be scheduled September 2020 special Commission meeting. It is not expected to be discussed during July’s meeting. The September discussion includes the stormwater drainage and harmonization policy as well as the location of the pump station and above-ground components. The design-build team is currently developing a limited feasibility study that further evaluates additional options for the location of the pump station generator and above-ground components. The study focuses primarily on the capacity of the site to accommodate the required components following a request from the community. A virtual public meeting webinar will be conducted to share the results of the study once it is complete. Please note, while the items are listed on the agenda, no items related to the West Avenue Phase II Neighborhood Improvement Project are expected to be heard at the Special Commission Meeting on Friday, July 24.
