FIGHT WILDLIFE CRIME AND HABITAT DESTRUCTION

Tell Congress: budget cuts could prove disastrous for wildlife

Vital conservation programs that protect tigers, elephants, rhinos, and countless other species need your help. Many of these species are already on the edge of extinction, and U.S. government programs that help conserve these species in the wild are under threat.
The House Appropriations Committee has moved to reject cuts proposed by the Administration in the 2021 budget that would be devastating for wildlife. Now it’s time to urge the House and Senate to pass legislation to support international conservation programs like the USAID Biodiversity Program, the Multinational Species Conservation Fund, combating wildlife trafficking programs at USAID and the U.S. State Department, and the Global Environment Facility. These programs play a key role in combating wildlife trafficking which is driving the slaughter of elephants and rhinos. They protect forests from illegal logging operations, reduce poverty, increase our national security, and help secure a future for wildlife and wild places.
