SURVEY SENT TO RESIDENTS NOT FROM CITY
Residents, members of our City Commission and staff have reported receiving an email entitled "Weston Community Survey" on two different dates as of today. This survey is NOT from the City of Weston.
The Survey starts out asking how long you have lived in Weston. It then asks questions regarding political candidates, elected officials and social views. The City just wants you to know that it is not from City Hall.

STORMWATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
With heavy rains anticipated through the weekend, we would like to reassure residents and business owners that the City of Weston maintains a comprehensive Stormwater Management System of lakes and canals which are essential in the prevention of flooding. Please take a moment to view the video above to understand how your Public Works professionals keep water flowing to ensure your home stays dry.

Catch basins in your community: Property owners are urged to keep catch basin grates on or adjacent to their property clear of tree limbs, palm fronds, leaves and any debris that may obstruct the flow of water into the basin and flood street and property. We sometime get questions on sandbags. The City does not supply sand bags and it is unlikely that they would be necessary.

To report flooding on public streets and right-of-ways, send an email to our Public Works staff or call the Public Works Department at 954-385-2600.

Flooding within Community Association Maintained Properties:
Roadways (and their drainage systems) within private communities are owned and maintained by the community’s maintenance association, not the City of Weston. Response to, and mitigation of, flooding that occurs within these private communities is the responsibility of the community’s management company or Homeowner's Association.
