The City of Sunny Isles Beach continues to closely monitor the coronavirus in South Florida. We urge everyone to follow the guidelines from the CDC and Florida Department of Health which includes social distancing, washing your hands, wearing a facial covering in public and around others, avoiding crowds, and staying home when possible.

We would like to share the below information on upcoming City programs, virtual events, news and COVID-19 resources.

Programs & Virtual Events

Fall Recreation Programs

Registration is currently open for Fall Recreation Programs. Most programs will be virtual, with a select few youth athletics held in-person, outdoors, with safety measures in place.

Drive-Thru Food Distribution Friday, September 4, 2020, 9 am - 11 am

Drive-Thru Food Distribution

The next Drive-Thru Food Distribution at Greynolds Park in North Miami Beach is this Friday, September 4 from 9 - 11 am. Open to Miami-Dade County residents. Food is distributed on a first-come first-served basis while supplies last.

Drive-Thru Back to School Backpack Giveaway

Register your child for our Drive-Thru Backpack Giveaway on Saturday, September 5 from 10 am – Noon. Open to students in grades K-12. Registration is open to residents with a valid City-issued SIB Resident ID Card only. Those who participated in the event on 8/26 are not eligible to participate again.

SIBeHealthy Senior Programs

Tune in to SIBTV, Atlantic Broadband Channel 662 at 9:30 am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for SIBeHealthy Senior programs you can follow along with from home. Visit sibfl.net/sibehealthy for more programming information.

Closed on Labor Day

Reminder: The Sunny Isles Beach Government Center will be closed in observance of Labor Day on Monday, September 7. The SIBshuttle will not operate. Select Sunny Isles Beach parks will remain open. Visit sibfl.net/parks for hours and information.

Blood Drive

One Blood will host a Blood Drive at the Sunny Isles Beach Government Center on Tuesday, September 15 from 10:30 am - 4 pm. All donors will receive a wellness checkup including a COVID-19 antibody test. Appointments required

COVID-19 Testing in Miami-Dade County

Miami-Dade County COVID-19 Testing Locations
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue offers at-home COVID-19 testing for senior citizens and individuals over the age of 18 with disabilities who are homebound. You can schedule an appointment online.

2020 Election Information

Be Election Ready

Reminder: Curfew Remains in Effect

A countywide curfew remains in effect from 10 pm to 6 am per Miami-Dade County Emergency Order 27-20.
