You can check your voter registration status, register to vote, or update your information online at registertovoteflorida.gov.   Vote-by-Mail Ballots This year, many voters are choosing to vote-by-mail from the safety of home.   Requesting a Vote-by Mail Ballot If you are presently registered to vote in Miami-Dade County, you may request a vote by mail ballot online. You may also request a ballot by email, fax, phone or mail. All vote-by-mail ballot requests must be signed by the voter and received by the Elections Department no later than 5:00 p.m. on the 10th calendar day prior to the election. If you would like your vote by mail ballot sent to an address other than the one on file in the Florida Voter Registration, please visit miamidade.gov/elections for more information on how to submit a written request.   Returning your Vote-by-Mail Ballot Return your Vote by Mail ballot using one of the following methods: mail your ballot through the United States Postal Service. It must be received by 7 p.m. on Election Day deposit your ballot in a secure drop box located at an early voting location during their hours of operation drop off your ballot in person at the Elections Department or the Voter Information Center You cannot drop off your ballot at your precinct on Election Day. Please remember to sign inside the red box on the back of the vote by mail envelope. Failure to include a signature may result in having your ballot not counted. After you've voted on a vote-by-mail ballot, you can track the status of your ballot online.   Early Voting Early voting for the November 3 General Election begins October 19 and ends on November 1. They are taking all possible precautions to keep you safe and ask that you assist them as well. The Elections Department will provide all poll workers with face shields, masks and disposable gloves. They will also regularly wipe down common touch points with disinfectant, offer hand sanitizer to all voters upon entering and exiting the voting location and mark the ground with stickers to ensure voters can adhere to social distancing protocols. Additionally, they will provide access to bathrooms that have soap and water available for handwashing. Voters are required to wear facial coverings at all times, and they must use the hand sanitizer that is provided upon entering and exiting.
