Estás en línea y ves una oportunidad para probar una nueva crema para la piel gratuitamente. Podrías pensar: ¿y por qué no? Pues, para empezar, esa "prueba gratis" podría resultar no ser gratis.

Según la FTC, eso es lo que sucedió con un vendedor localizado en Puerto Rico que anunciaba productos para la piel “gratis” a cambio de un cargo de “despacho y envío” de $4.99. Pero la FTC dice que lo que las personas no sabían era que les iban a cobrar si no cancelaban en 14 o 15 días. Y la compañía les cobraría más de $90 por la crema. Y también las inscribirían en suscripciones mensuales. Y la FTC dice que no era fácil cancelar.

Ahora, el vendedor le entregará a la FTC activos por un valor aproximado de un millón de dólares para otorgar reembolsos parciales a los clientes afectados.
