Aspen Ideas: Climate - Free Activations The City of Miami Beach has partnered with the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs to launch the Arts Resilient305 | Aspen Institute initiative. Local artists were invited to commission new and repositioned site-specific temporary public art installations and performances highlighting issues related to climate change and sea-level rise. The outdoor art activations and performances are free and open to the public. In addition, Aspen Ideas: Climate will stream replays of the evening speaker sessions onto the New World Center’s WALLCAST facade beginning around 7:30 p.m. each evening for free public viewing. There are a number of key elements within the park that further Miami Beach’s resiliency goals, including a collection of tree and plant varieties that creates a natural canopy in the park, and innovative drainage techniques.
