Feeling inspired? Share your poems and songs at the MC’NY Poets' Café, our monthly open mic hosted by poet Shanelle Gabriel. Make an evening of it! Sample the delicious food from the Teranga pop-up cafe and try a specialty cocktail from the MCNY bar.   Plus! Curator Walking Tour: Public Art in Lower Manhattan Friday, September 24, 3pm Venue: In-person, outdoors Explore the hidden histories of one of the oldest areas of New York and discover the architecture, public art, and urban planning that created iconic spaces in lower Manhattan we know today with MCNY Curator Lilly Tuttle. Register: $25; $20 Members Curator Walking Tour: Radicals of the Lower East Side Friday, October 1, 3pm Venue: In-person, outdoors MCNY Curator Sarah Seidman uncovers the stories of some of the people and places that made the Lower East Side one of the original geopolitical centers of working-class politics and culture.  Register: $25; $20 Members Learn More Watch Movies Under the Stars Moonlight & Movies: Smithereens Thursday, September 30, 7pm ET Venue: In-person, outdoors This homage to New York in the 1980s follows the (mis)adventures of a New Jersey runaway seeking out the city's punk scene. With an in-person introduction by director  Susan Seidelman.   Tickets: $15 and up.
