Moonlight Movie in the Park Series Returns! Cruella | October 9 at 8 p.m. Mark your calendar as the Moonlight Movie in the Park series returns to Regional Park on Saturday, October 9 at 8 p.m. featuring Disney’s Cruella. Take a trip to 1970s London punk rock revolution where a young grifter transforms herself into the raucous, revenge-bent Cruella de Vil.
Don’t forget to bring lawn chairs or blankets and arrive early to pick your preferred seating area. Coolers are welcome, but no alcohol permitted. |

BSO Chillin' with the Cops this Friday Get to know your hometown deputies this Friday, September 24. Chill with BSO Weston District Crime Prevention Unit at the Weston Regional Park basketball courts. Play some hoops, eat snow cones and stay active while interactive with Weston deputies. Also on hand will be Burnie, the Miami Heat Mascot accompanied by Miami Heat Dancers to mingle and pose for photos with attendees. |

Rabies Alert for Portions of Weston The Florida Department of Health in Broward County (DOH-Broward) issued a rabies alert for a portion of Weston, Florida. This is in response to a fox that tested positive on September 17. Residents and visitors in Broward should be aware that rabies is present in the wild animal population and domestic animals are at risk if not vaccinated, which is why rabies vaccinations are mandatory each year. First Redistricting Meeting This Thursday, September 23 The Census Bureau released data from the 2020 Census, providing the basis for Broward County to complete its required redistricting – the process of drawing boundaries for political districts – to rebalance districts to account for population shifts, thus ensuring equal representation.
On Thursday, September 23, at 7 p.m. join Broward County and Florida International University (FIU) experts at Miramar Town Center City Hall who will host a series of public education meetings on the redistricting process and receive community input. This is the first of six meetings that are taking place throughout Broward County. |

Weston Businesses: It's Time to Renew Your Annual Local BTR Weston businesses must have an active Local Business Tax Receipt (BTR) in order to do business in the City. The Local BTR must be renewed annually by September 30 in order to remain active and avoid penalties. Existing business owners with active email addresses should have received an email from the City of Weston with a direct link to your Local BTR invoice to pay online. The dashboard includes many pet-related businesses and services located in Broward County from animal hospitals to veterinary pharmacies. Users can search by categories of businesses or by a specific name. Once a business name is found, the dashboard’s map pinpoints the exact location of the facility. |
