Celebrate Dr. Seuss’ March 2 birthday at the library all week long

We love Dr. Seuss and know you do too,
so we had to do something so you wouldn’t be blue.
Help us celebrate his birthday with stories and fun,
you’ll like it so much, you’ll be sad when it’s done.

Join us for arts and crafts, fun readings and more as we kick off our monthly reading circle at Books & Books in Coconut Grove! Dress up as your favorite Dr. Seuss character in honor of his birthday and bring your gently used baby books, first readers, and picture books to drop off in the Read to Learn Books for Free bin as a gift for kids who don't own books. Free and open to the community.

Census Data is Crucial in Emergency Preparedness and Evacuation Planning

Information about how many people live in a city and where they live is critical for emergency response. Accurate 2020 Census information can lead to more effective and efficient emergency response times and rescue operations. 
Beginning March 12 - 20, households will be receiving official Census Bureau mail with information on how to respond to the 2020 Census online, by phone or by mail.  Make sure you're counted! Complete the census. If you don't have access to a computer or the internet, you can always visit your local library and get online.
