Are you in the know? Here is the latest from Miami Beach!

The City of Miami Beach and the Rhythm Foundation are proud to announce 12 youth performers have been selected to perform at the North Beach Bandshell Stage and eight artists to perform on the Acoustic Garden Stage tomorrow, February 29, 2020 as part of the fourth annual Miami Beach Youth Music Festival.

The festival will begin at 3 p.m. and culminate with a performance by headliner South Florida band FOOM!

Early Voting for the Presidential Preference Primary Election will take place from March 2 through March 15, 2020.

During Early Voting, you may vote at any of the Miami-Dade County Early Voting sites, including the two sites located within the City of Miami Beach:

Polling times are as follows:
March 2 through March 6 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
March 7 through March 8 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
March 9 through March 13 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
March 14 through March 15 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Presidential Preference Primary Election will take place on March 17, 2020 and voters must cast their ballot at the polling location printed on their Voters’ Registration Card on that day.

Be Emergency Ready

305 Half Marathon & 5K

This Sunday, March 1, the 305 Half Marathon & 5K will race through Miami Beach.

The race will begin at 6:15 a.m. at Ocean Drive at 12 Street. Runners then proceed north to go out over the eastbound lanes of the Julia Tuttle Causeway clearing this section by 8:15 a.m.

All of the participants will be off the remaining sections of the course by 10 a.m. for the reopening of the roads.

Traffic will be managed by the Miami Beach Police Department who will assist traffic through intersections in between gaps of runner packs. Please plan ahead for some short delays. Click here to view race route and additional information.

The City of Miami Beach is offering free income tax preparation services through April 15, 2020 for families or individuals earning up to $56,000 annually per household. Tax preparation services are offered at the Office of Housing and Community Services (555 17 Street) by appointment only by calling 305.673.7491.
