Traffic Impact: Miami Marathon Weekend
Saturday, February 8 - Sunday, February 9
On Sunday, February 9 the 18th Annual Life Time Miami Marathon and Half Marathon presented by cbdMD returns with over 30,000 runners and walkers. Runners will make their way from Downtown Miami through the MacArthur Causeway and exit Miami Beach on the Venetian Causeway. 

The Miami Beach Police Department will be working closely with this event to minimize the traffic impact. 

SUNDAY TRAFFIC ADVISORY

Downtown/Brickell: 6 a.m. - 2 p.m. 
MacArthur Causeway EB: 5 a.m. - 8 a.m.
Miami Beach Area: 5 a.m. - 10 a.m.
Venetian Causeway: 6 a.m. - 10 a.m.
Rickenbacker Causeway Area: 6:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Coconut Grove Area: 7 a.m. - 1 p.m.

We recommend for all those wishing to enter or exit Miami Beach between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. to utilize the Julia Tuttle Causeway. Roads will be closed and managed by the Miami, Miami Beach and Miami-Dade Police Departments, who will assist with traffic through intersections between gaps of runners. 

Miami Beach Trolley Information
Due to road closures, the South Beach Trolley service will not serve the Rebecca Tower, Belle Isle or Washington Avenue stops between 17 to 21 streets from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Other stops that may be affected are: Alton Road/4 Street (both directions), Washington Avenue/S Pointe Drive, S Pointe Drive/Washington Avenue, and Washington Avenue/2 Street (both directions) The Middle Beach Loop will not be serving stops at Dade Boulevard/Michigan Avenue, Meridian Avenue/19 Street, and 20 Street/Liberty Avenue.

Service will be restored to affected stops as soon as roads are reopened.

On Saturday, February 8 the Life Time Tropical 5k will also race through the city. The race will begin at 7:30 a.m. at Watson Island by the Miami Children's Museum and will enter the city via the MacArthur Causeway, continue south on Alton Road and finish on South Pointe Drive.

Miami Beach Trolley Information
Due to road closures, the South Beach Trolley service will not serve the Rebecca Tower stop from 6 a.m. to 9 am. Trolleys will be picking up/dropping off affected passengers at the intersection of 2 Street and Michigan Avenue. Service will be restored to affected stops as soon as roads are reopened.
