Fight the Flood Private Property Adaptation

The City of Miami Beach is pleased to announce the launch of our Fight the Flood Private Property Adaptation Program. The city is offering up to $20,000 in matching funds for property owners that want to conduct flood risk assessments and undertake flood mitigation projects. The program is open to single, multifamily residential and commercial properties. Properties may qualify to apply for FEMA home elevation funding. 
 
This is a competitive grant program. Applications will be evaluated and prioritized based on established criteria and available funding.

Miami Beach property owners can submit an application for consideration between July 25 and Aug. 19. Informational workshops will be held via Zoom at 6 p.m. on July 21 and 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 2. A workshop specific to FEMA FMA Grant will be held on Thursday, Aug. 4 at 6 p.m. Additional workshops and in-person visits may be scheduled at a later date.
