Take Time for You. #RecTheStigma Weston is known for our lush landscaping and natural beauty, including our parks. Weston’s parks offer you opportunities to take a step back and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds us. This month, in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we challenge our residents (and ourselves) to “Take time for you.” Here are some ways to do that:
- Take a walk in a park to silence your mind and enjoy nature,
- Have take-out for lunch... literally take your lunch outdoors and enjoy it at a picnic table or bench in a park,
- Plan an outing with friends and family,
- Relax your mind through meditation, yoga or tai chi;
- Volunteer for the Friends of the Library, or another organization that needs help

New Lane Now Open Royal Palm Boulevard & Weston Road Intersection As construction continues on the intersection of Royal Palm Boulevard and Weston Road, motorists traveling through this past week were pleased that the new third left turn lane (from westbound Royal Palm Boulevard to southbound Weston Road) is now open. As the overnight paving continued, barricades were removed, and lane striping was completed, and the morning rush should now be easier. The project is still in progress, as new mast arms will be installed and the timing of the traffic signals will need to be adjusted as drivers adjust to the new traffic pattern. |
