Community Input Desired at Open House for Complete Streets Grant Application
The public is invited to provide input on a grant application the City intends to submit to the Broward County Metropolitan Planning Organization as part of its Complete Streets and other Localized Initiatives Grant Program for city-wide ADA and sidewalk improvements. The Open House will be held Tuesday, October 29th between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.at Weston City Hall.
Use Caution with Holiday Candles
Many holiday celebrations around the world include the use of candles or beautiful lights floating in the air – sky or wish lanterns. Candles should always be used with caution and under supervision, and sky lanterns are illegal in Broward county due to the fire danger that they pose. Read more to learn safety tips on these holiday traditions.
Coffee with the Top Cop
Stop in and meet Sheriff Gregory Tony
Meet Sheriff Gregory Tony and your Weston hometown deputies over a cup of coffee and conversation on Tuesday, October 29th from 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. at the Starbucks in Weston Commons. Come out and enjoy a cup of Joe on BSO.

Halloween Funfest at Broward County Animal Care
A special Halloween FunFest will be held on Saturday, October 26th, from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m., at Broward County Animal Care, 2400 SW 42nd Street, in Fort Lauderdale. Children will receive a special Animal Care Halloween bag and be invited to “trick or treat” and enjoy a special Pumpkin Patch. Adoptable dogs and cats will also be featured. All adoption fees will be waived include spaying/neutering; vaccinations, County license tag and a microchip!
Moonlight Movies in the Park featuring Ralph Breaks the Internet on Saturday, November 2nd at 7:30 p.m. at Weston Regional Park.
Pack up the family and head to the park to enjoy the antics of video game bad guy Ralph and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz as they risk it all travelling to the World Wide Web. Bring lawn chairs or a blanket and enjoy the night under the stars. Showtime is 7:30 p.m.
Weston Sports Extravaganza at Weston Regional Park on November 2nd at 5:30 p.m.
Interact with the many leagues that offer league sports and activities in Weston’s parks. Weston Sports Alliance members, along with Weston Tennis Center and Kidokinetics, will showcase their activities at the Sports Extravangaza, starting at 5:30 p.m. Come out to learn about all of the activities that Weston offers to be ACTIVE. It all takes place at Regional Park on soccer field #8, near the event stage.
Come dressed in you best costume for a night of festivities you won’t forget as the Weston YMCA stirs up a little toil and trouble with a haunted house and trunks full of candy! There will be photo ops, spooky spectacular entertainment and more. Event is open to the public -- you do not have to be a member of the Y to attend.

Elevation certificates for residential properties are now available on the My City Services app, found in Maps/Apps, accessible on the homepage. Click on Interactive Maps to find My City Services. Enter your address to access all types of information that relates to your property. Elevation certificates are found under the Property + Development tab, and scroll right to find Elevation certificates.

In partnership with the City of Weston and Broward Sheriff's Office Weston District (Law Enforcement and Fire Rescue), the Weston YMCA invites all Veterans to be honored for their valiant service to our country. Veterans and their families should register today to attend the special presentation on the morning of the Veterans Day holiday - November 11th. The event starts at 8:30 a.m. Call 954-424-9622 to register.
