City of Miami Beach Update on COVID-19, 3/22

The Interim City Manager has extended the city’s State of Emergency Declaration and Emergency Measures through March 24, 2021.

COVID-19 Vaccinations
The City of Miami Beach has received a limited supply of the COVID-19 vaccine for distribution by the Miami Beach Fire Department to individuals 50 and over; teachers; as well as individuals under 50 who are deemed medically vulnerable by their doctors with a valid Florida Department of Health (FDOH) determination form. Click here for the FDOH determination form.

This program will be offered on a first-come, first-qualifying basis by appointment only. Appointments are ONLY for the first dose of the vaccine.

Please note, phone lines will be open tomorrow, March 23 starting at 10 a.m. To make an appointment, please call 305.604.4255.

This hotline will be available until all appointments have been filled.
Federal Government COVID-19 Vaccination Satellite Sites
Beginning today, March 18 through Tuesday, March 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. the Florida Department of Health will have two federal government COVID-19 vaccination satellite sites in Miami-Dade County.

Site locations:
  • Charles Hadley Park | 1350 NW 50 Street, Miami, FL 33142
  • South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center | 10950 SW 211 Street, Cutler Bay, FL 33189

COVID-19 Testing
Drive-thru and walk-up COVID-19 testing continues on 17 Street and Convention Center Drive. We encourage you to pre-register for the walk-up site by clicking here or make your appointment for the drive-thru site here.

COVID-19 Vaccines
Miami-Dade County continues to work with hospital and healthcare partners to vaccinate members of our community against COVID-19 as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Appointments can be made through a scheduling tool, as more vaccines become available, at miamidade.gov/vaccine. The website is also available in Spanish at miamidade.gov/vacuna. The site also includes information on federally-run and state-run vaccination locations as well as private locations (CVS Health, Publix, Walmart, Winn-Dixie and Fresco y Mas, etc).

Walk-Up Food Distribution
Commissioner David Richardson's office will host their weekly walk up distribution in MidBeach tomorrow, March 23.

The City of Miami Beach has extended the nomination deadline as we seek deserving individuals that have made a lasting and significant impact in our community for the Miami Beach Hall of Fame! The deadline to submit nominations is Tuesday, March 23, 2021.
 
Nominees come from all walks of life and have made distinguished achievements across a variety of fields, including arts, architecture, design, science, athletics, business, and community leadership.
 
The Miami Beach Hall of Fame is designed to honor up to five distinguished leaders annually in the following categories:

Register for Spring Camps Today!
Spring into the new season with Parks and Recreation camp! From March 29 through April 2, we will be offering spring camp for Miami Beach residents in grades K-12 and spring camp for tots for Miami Beach residents from 3 to 4 years old.

Both camps will be offered Monday through Friday at a cost of $106 for Miami Beach residents. Spring camp is available for children that are not currently enrolled in our after school programs.
