City of Miami Beach Update on COVID-19, 6/29

Monday, June 29, 2020

Additionally, effective at 11:59 p.m. tonight, per Miami-Dade County Emergency Order 23-20 all establishments that are licensed to serve alcoholic beverages, MUST cease the sale of those alcoholic beverages for on-premise consumption between the hours of 12:01 a.m. and 6 a.m. each day; and hookah lounges shall remain closed.

As a reminder, per Miami-Dade County Order, all beaches will close in the County commencing on Friday, July 3 and extending through Monday, July 6, 2020. Beaches will reopen on Tuesday, July 7. Click here to read the full order.

The closure may be extended if conditions do not improve and people do not follow "New Normal" rules requiring masks to be worn always inside commercial establishments and outdoors when social distancing of at least 6 feet is not possible.

With the recent surge of COVID-19 cases and increasing hospitalizations throughout the State of Florida, the city continues to urge you to wear a mask, practice social distancing and wash your hands regularly. Now is NOT the time to let our guards down on proactive safety measures.

Social distancing with members outside of your household
Wearing a face covering
Avoiding touching your eyes, nose and mouth
Avoiding close contact with people who are sick
Covering your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash
Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe
Taking personal responsibility. If you are sick with a fever, cough or viral symptoms, please stay away from others, including the work environment and crowded area

Transfusing the plasma that contains the antibodies into a person still fighting the virus can provide a boost to the patient’s immune system and potentially help them recover. Click here to learn more and how you can donate today.
