A Veterans Day message from your City Commission
Veterans Day
On Veterans Day, observed annually on November 11, we honor and remember the individuals who have served in the United States Armed Forces to serve and protect our nation, defend the Constitution, and the freedoms that we enjoy as Americans. Originally observed as Armistice Day, commemorating the end of World War I when fighting ceased on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. The holiday has evolved to be a celebration to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good of our nation. To all veterans who have served, we thank you.
