Coffee with a Cop This Friday
Do you know who your hometown deputies are? Stop by Bonjour French Bakery, located at 1435 N. Park Drive in Weston this Friday, November 5 from 9 until 10 a.m. to meet your hometown deputies from the Broward Sheriff's Office Weston District.
Moonlight Movie in the Park is This Saturday
What better way to spend a cool autumn evening than under the moon and stars with Disney's Raya and the Last Dragon movie. Join Raya, a warrior determined to find the last dragon in the land of Kumandra, a re-imagined Earth inhabited by an ancient civilization.

Head to the event stage at Regional Park this Saturday, November 6. The movie will start promptly at 7:30 p.m. Arrive early to pick your perfect seating location and bring lawn chairs or blankets. Coolers are welcome, but alcohol is not permitted.
Goal: Earn 1 Million Minutes to Fitness
Join the Rotary Run Get Fit Challenge
Participate in a variety of activities from November 6 through December 5 to earn minutes towards the 1 Million Minutes to Fitness community-wide fitness challenge, part of the Get Fit Challenge. Visit participating Weston area businesses or locations to scan and collect minutes for physical fitness activities leading up to the Rotary Run for Tomorrow events on December 5.

Participants will also earn minutes by participating in any of the races and by visiting the exhibit booths at the Health and Fitness Festival. Collect minutes to earn chances to win raffle prizes, including a Grand Prize at the Health and Fitness Festival. 
Take a Walk in the Park to View the Amazing Artwork
Chalk in the Park Day is this Sunday, Nov. 7
Spend your Sunday afternoon celebrating the arts by taking a stroll through Library Park to enjoy all of the creative artists drawing out their version of the theme – Create Your Happy! - for Chalk in the Park Day! Although all of the artist spots are filled, we invite you to enjoy the art taking shape from 2 to 4 p.m. This event is presented by The Arts Council of Greater Weston.

Escape into the world of film. The Weston Foreign Films Series is presented by the Arts Council of Greater Weston and the City of Weston. On Monday, November 8, take an adventure with Victor, a film critic who is weary of Hollywood’s romantic comedy, until he meets Sofia. When random events bring them together, he suspects the movie genre he hates is taking revenge.

El Crítico will be presented in Spanish with English subtitles. Showtimes are 4:45 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The Weston Foreign Film series runs from November 2021 through March 2022. You can purchase –the full series tickets online at 1Weston.com. Individual film tickets may be purchased at the door, if available. You can also purchase tickets – check only – at:

Veterans Day Breakfast
Honoring All Who Have Valiantly Served
Thursday, Nov. 11 at 9 a.m. | Registration is Required
Veterans, First responders and their families are invited to attend the annual Veterans Day breakfast at the Bonaventure Town Center Club, at 16690 Saddle Club Road. The event is hosted by the City of Weston, BSO Law Enforcement and Fire Rescue, and the Weston YMCA Family Center, and sponsored by Milner and the Bonaventure Town Center Club. Staff Sergeant Ty Michael Carter, Medal of Honor recipient for his work in Operation Enduring Freedom, will be featured as the keynote speaker.

Businesses and Organizations: Join in to Collect Food for Thanksgiving Food Drive
Weston Regional Park on Nov. 13 | 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
We need everything but the turkey! The City has teamed up with the children and worker-bees of Harvest Drive to collect food for over 2,500 families for Thanksgiving. We urge Weston businesses, groups and organizations to internally hold food drives and then come out and drop your donations off on November 13 at the Weston Community Center. Have your photo taken at our Weston backdrop/step-and-repeat so we can post thank-you to those organizations who helped make a difference in so many lives this holiday.
 
Items needed: Cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, cornbread mix, powdered milk, applesauce, canned vegetables, canned yams (sweet potatoes), boxed mashed potatoes, stuffing, peanut butter & pasta. We thank you in advance!  
WestonNights Concert Series
Featuring Private Stock Band on Nov. 20
Are you ready to jam to your favorite hits? Enjoy a high-energy, multi-talented and extremely versatile musical band, Private Stock, performing a variety of 80s, 90s and Latin hits on Saturday, November 20 at 7 p.m. at the event stage in Weston Regional Park.

Bring lawn chairs or blankets and plan to arrive early to pick the best seats in the house. Coolers are welcome; however, alcohol is not permitted. Food trucks will be available on site. 
Broward Schools 'Meet and Chat' with
Interim Superintendent
Get to know the new Interim Superintendent. Parents, students, teachers, administrators, staff and community members are invited to Meet and Chat with Broward County Public Schools Interim Superintendent Dr. Vickie L. Cartwright during a series of events hosted by Broward County School Board members.
