Effective today, the City Manager has extended the city’s State of Emergency Declaration and Emergency Measures through November 18, 2020. COVID-19 Updates

South Beach Food Distribution Commissioner David Richardson's office will host their weekly food distribution on Saturday, November 14 in South Beach. Saturday, November 14 9 AM - 11 AM 2100 Collins Avenue Miami Beach, FL The food distribution is on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last. Please remain in your car and open the trunk when it's your turn in line. If you do not have a car and would like to qualify for food assistance, please call or register online. Walk-Up Food Distribution Commissioner David Richardson's office will also host a walk-up food distribution on Tuesday, November 17 in South Beach. Tuesday, November 17 9 AM - 11 AM South Shore Community Center 833 6 Street Miami Beach, FL The food distribution is on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last. We encourage you to bring your cart as the food box weigh 35lbs. Everyone must wear a face covering that completely covers the nose and the mouth. If you do not have a face mask, one will be provided.

COVID-19 Testing Drive-thru COVID-19 testing hours for the self PCR test with nurse assistance are from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily by appointment (click here). The site allows you to view how many tests are still available per day. The mobile, walk-up COVID-19 testing unit continues to provide rapid and PCR tests. Walk-up COVID-19 testing hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. No appointments are necessary, but online pre-registration before arriving is encouraged to reduce wait times. Click here to pre-register and here to view FAQ's on how to do so. Free Flu Shots The City of Miami Beach will be offering free flu shots for all Miami Beach youth residents. Give Miami Day One of the nation's biggest 24-hour annual giving events, Give Miami Day is an online campaign where all locals are philanthropists. This year -- as our nonprofit community continues their essential work in the face of a serious pandemic, economic crisis and the impact of systemic racism -- Give Miami Day will be more vital than ever. While we all count on Miami-Dade's nonprofits to serve our region day after day, this time, they're counting on us.  On Thursday, November 19, 2020, we invite everyone to explore the online profiles of hundreds of Miami-Dade nonprofits that, with limited resources and staff, always find a way to provide the supplies, services and support our residents need. Miami Beach Hall of Fame To recognize remarkable individuals that have made a lasting and significant impact on Miami Beach, the city is asking the public to nominate deserving individuals for the Miami Beach Hall of Fame. Nominations are being accepted now through November 30, 2020. Selected Miami Beach Hall of Fame recipients are celebrated in the permanent honor hall, located on the south concourse wall of the Miami Beach Convention Center. Inductees will be honored with a plaque listing their accomplishments and a special ceremony to celebrate their achievements. Eligible individuals must have been either born in Miami Beach, made Miami Beach his/her place of residence or business and/or had a positive and lasting impact on the community.
