Where's George? Find the Park
Here's the Clue for Week 4
George loves history. After all, he's one of our earliest residents and about 3,000 years old! This Weston park, a former archaeological park, once provided shelter and security to as many as 30 Tequestas and an excavation here yielded tools, shells and pottery. Find this spot, then follow the history trail and learn about the first people of the Everglades.

Glass of water for Tap Water Chlorine Treatment
Temporary Change in Water Treatment
From October 26 through November 18, 2020, the Sunrise Utility Department will switch from monochloramine to free chlorine disinfection in its drinking water treatment system to provide additional protection against bacteria. Water customers may notice a change in the taste, odor or color of their tap water during this time. Learn more about this periodic practice among water suppliers by clicking below.

Please note that this process is different than the hydrant flushing process that also may take place in your neighborhood periodically. During hydrant flushing, your tap water may be cloudy or discolored as the process flushes sediments which may have settled in the distribution pipes out of the system. If this happens, just flush your tap until water runs clear.

Guardian ad Litem volunteers represent abused and neglected children in dependency court. These volunteers are people like you – who have just a little time to give to speak and advocate on behalf of a child.
