The Royal Bunny is Coming to Weston!
The Royal Bunny is excited to return to Weston this year! If you have children ages 11 & under you won’t want to miss the Royal Bunny Drive-Thru Egg-sperience event on Saturday, April 3 starting at 10 a.m.

Plan to drive through, wave to the Royal Bunny and receive a springtime surprise (while supplies last.) Be sure to enter the Weston City Hall area from eastbound Royal Palm Boulevard for the family fun Egg-sperience!

Kindness Rocks, Weston
Enjoy Rock Gardens through March 30
If you need a little more kindness in your life, if you want to spread some for others, or if you just want to check out how kind and artistic our community is, stop by our community rock gardens. Our neighbors have done such a tremendous job of keeping our rock gardens full at Country Isles and Gator Run Park. We're maintaining our gardens for #KindnessRocksWeston until Take a Walk in the Park Day on March 30, so be sure to make a visit before then.

Draft Noise Compatibility Study Available for
Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport
Open for Review / Comment through April 30, 2021
As a part of its ongoing Part 150 Study for Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), the Broward County Aviation Department (BCAD) has prepared a Draft Noise Compatibility Program (NCP) Report. The report is open for public review and comment through April 30, 2021.  

An online public workshop will also be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 5 p.m.

Looking for some family fun things to do while the kids are on spring break this week? Visit a park and enjoy the outdoors. Weston Parks and Broward County Parks offer a variety of amenities for you to enjoy. From airboat rides to volleyball, and everything in between, you are guaranteed to have a great time exploring our own backyard. Have you tried disc golf, archery or pickleball? Take a model steam train ride or learn about butterflies. There’s so much to see and do.

Click below to view all of the current amenities that are open at our own City of Weston Parks and at Broward Parks. Keep in mind that COVID-19 protocols remain in place and some Broward Parks are closed on certain days as they serve as COVID vaccination sites. 
YMCA Small Business Saturday is This Week!
Support local businesses by learning about the services offered in our community. Attend the Small Business Saturday event hosted by the Weston YMCA this Saturday, 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The event will be held outdoors near the YMCA building inside Regional Park. Plan to stop by to meet local businesses and all that they have to offer.

More Tax Time Tips
The IRS income tax filing due date for individuals for the 2020 tax year has been extended to May 17, 2021, and thanks to the American Rescue Plan enacted in March, there is now an exclusion of up to $10,200 of Unemployment Compensation if your modified adjusted gross income is less than $150,000.

If you have already filed your taxes, you can soon file an amended return for a refund of the tax paid on that amount. You will find these and other tips in our 2020 Tax Time Topics News post linked below.
