NEWS FROM THE CITY OF WESTON September 24, 2019 Census 2020: Weston Complete Count Committee Workshop We are holding a Workshop on Saturday, October 5th at 9 a.m. in the Weston Community Center and we’re looking for individuals throughout the community to join us to be Census Ambassadors. New! Enhanced Customer Service Site

New Online Customer Service Site Now Available at your Fingertips The City of Miami Beach’s Customer Service Center (CSC), located at 1755 Meridian Avenue, recently advanced its services with technological upgrades and updated processes. The CSC is a "one-stop-shop" for a myriad of citywide customer service-related services, including utility accounts, business tax receipts, resort tax, parking permits, passports, various permits and cashiering. The CSC is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m to 6 p.m and processes approximately 37,000 face-to-face customer transactions per year and 492,000 phone calls through its in-house call-center. Average Wait Times & Appointments Through the new online portal, customers are now able to quickly see average wait times in real-time either in the lobby or on the website. The mobile-friendly wait time dashboard is categorized by services – making it easier to view wait times when you’re on the go! Customers are now also able to schedule appointments via the CSC site or by calling 305.604.CITY. This option is particularly helpful for residents with limited time availability as well as customers with more complex transactions such as families needing passport services and operators with business tax receipt applications. New Express Lane To facilitate a faster turnaround for simple transactions, the city has created a dedicated express lane at the CSC. This lane is designed for customers with transactions that only take a few minutes to complete, such as: Applying for garage sale permits Proving residency for the resident discount at parking meters Applying for real estate sign permits Utility Bills Customers are now also able to opt-in for electronic bills (E-bills) distributed through e-mail instead of receiving paper bills through the mail. This month, a new utility bill format will be released, which will include billing information for up to 25 different meters and provide additional information such as type of meter, size of meter, and overall 12 month usage chart. Miami-Dade County Increasing Parking Fines Beginning Tuesday, October 1 Starting Tuesday, October 1, Miami-Dade County is increasing parking fines. Please click here for their ordinance, which lists all parking violation fines and costs.
